Come say hi, learn about what we're up to, and check out our merch, especially the stuff that can reduce your food truck rodeo waste!

A Durham Central Park Food Truck Rodeo is an all-ages Sunday afternoon gathering of dozens of the Triangle’s most popular food trucks, five times each year. This is the original food truck rodeo of the Triangle–an event that helped start the food truck craze. The event is free to attend. You simply pay for what you decide to eat from the trucks’ menus–from savory and stick-to-your-ribs to sweet treats.

Resistance Rodeo

Food Trucks, Music, Activism!

The Resistance Rodeo is back for our second ride! Our first Rodeo last spring was a great success and the issues it was designed to respond to are just as pressing today as they were a year ago - so come on down! This event is designed to help people show up, plug in and take action, channeling the energy of those compelled to take action into the work of the many existing, and newly formed, organizations taking action across a number of interest areas.

Free for any organization working on (including but not limited to): environment, women’s and reproductive rights, police violence, education inequality, immigration, LGBTQ rights, economic justice, worker’s rights, and disenfranchisement. We can expect an unrelenting and widespread assault on our values from the current regime and we must organize, respond and resist.

Interested organizations can sign up at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc7yMNxTtR5YdjGrTPwBCtgyENUgq4HycShCivnLQf4b_y1RQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

The Resistance Rodeo is inspired by the millions who are rising up in opposition to the racist, Islamophobic, misogynistic, and oppressive systems that have become unmasked in recent years as progressive movements and organizations have called attention to chronic injustice across the country and the world. The organizers recognize that these systems have long been in place, but are experiencing a validation and resurgence that must be resisted. The Resistance Rodeo is an opportunity to engage our community and advance means of individual and collective action.

Do you find this issue concerning? We do too!

This is a community meeting (open the to the public!) for people passionate about reducing food waste. We'll discuss ways we can help potentially wasted food reach people in Durham who can eat it. Bring your thoughts, ideas, knowledge, and questions about food waste and recovery!
